Grafton Advisors Host the Inaugural 'Kempner Cup' Golf Day
17 October 2017
On 28th September, the Grafton Advisors team hosted the inaugural ‘Kempner Cup’ golf day in memory of Nigel Kempner, one of the founding partners of the firm.
The event was held at Huntercombe Golf Club in Oxfordshire, Nigel’s former club. It was a beautiful sunny day for a wide array of Nigel’s friends and colleagues from across London’s property industry to play the spectacular 18-hole course. There was no shortage of competitive spirit and the day was won by Simon Glenn of Strutt & Parker who clinched victory to become the first person to take home the Kempner Cup. Richard Peskin of Internos and Alex Waters of Strutt & Parker were close behind to take second and third places respectively. Paul Smith of Colliers won the ‘nearest the pin’ competition and Philip Martin of Tuckerman won the prize for the longest drive.
Reflecting on the successful day, Ker Gilchrist of Grafton Advisors said “A great opportunity for the Grafton Advisors team to be joined by our industry friends for a day to Nigel’s memory. The sun shone on us for our inaugural event. I greatly look forward to hosting the event again next year, and a repeat of the healthy competition and good lunchtime chatter.”
